  1. Neighbor Nancy says:

Oo, looks like an adventure. I’m goin’

Does anyone else wish the deer didn’t think all the landscaping was edible?

I read about a Ginseng grower, who is still alive I believe, he may be located in Delaware, who has made friends with the local deer — he feeds them. But as he feeds them their snacks, he takes out a ginseng leaf or root. When the deer begins to nibble on the ginseng, BAM! he smacks them upside the head, and does not have much of a deer-eating-ginseng problem anymore.

Now, to stop the deer from eating EVERYTHING in your garden… well, I guess invest in some boxing gloves and a helmet. 🙂

  2. Neighbor Nancy says:

Oh my! now I have spit my coffee everywhere.

Spare the rod, spoil the deer.

My 6 yr old like to chase them off with a pot lid and wooden spoon, when he sees them.
